NORTH POLE – As Christmas quickly approaches, Santa Claus has announced that he will replace Rudolf The Red-Nosed Reindeer with a BMW GS modified with a ridiculous amount of auxiliary lighting. The decision comes after a weather report forecasted heavy fog on Christmas Eve.
“Rudolf has been a great friend and leader over the last few decades and I feel he could still guide the sleigh, but we don’t want to take any chances this year,” said Santa, “With how 2020 and 2021 have gone so far, we’re a little worried that this might be the year I crash the sleigh into the side of a mountain.”
The BMW 1250 GS chosen for the task is fitted with over 10 auxiliary lights in addition to an aftermarket headlight – complete overkill during the other 364 days of the year.
“We don’t just want to see in the fog, we want to burn through it,” said Santa. “Fortunately for us, GS owners slap enough lights on their crash bars, handlebars, and fairings that we should be able to burn right through fog and small birds.”
